HILLCREST COTTAGE
Holiday Lettings at Sibford Gower
ABOUT
Hillcrest is a two bedroom self-catered cottage which is available year round for holiday lettings, and as a transition home for house moves.
It is located in the charming, unspoilt village of Sibford Gower, which is 10 miles from the M40 motorway, at both Banbury and Gaydon junctions.
It is 1 hour by train from Central London, 40 minutes from Birmingham Airport and 70 minutes from Heathrow Airport.
zzz
Hillcrest Cottage itself is to be found on Sibford's quiet Main Street. It has accommodation for up to four people, there is an en suite, king-sized bedroom, and a double bedroom, also with its own separate bathroom. It also has a kitchen, dining room, sitting room, utility and gorgeous walled garden.
There are steep stairs in the property, so it isn't suitable for those with limited mobility.
THE COTTAGE
Hillcrest Cottage was entirely derelict when we bought it in 2014. It was desperately in need of renovation, and it took over a year for us to bring it back to life (with the added bonus of heating and sturdy ceilings!). Hover over each image for more information about the accommodation, or see the contact section at the bottom of the page to make your booking.
Prices are £350 for a weekend, £650-850 for a week or £1200-1800 for a month. However, this does vary seasonally so please contact us for availability and an exact price.
Behind the little blue door is a deceptively spacious newly renovated hidden gem.
As you enter, you walk into the airy dining room. The heirloom dining table seats six.
Light a fire to have an ambient glow while you eat, or just curl up with a book, looking out onto the garden.
Don't worry about logs and kindling for the fires, we leave everything ready for you.
This room also seats six.
There's a second fireplace in the sitting room, to keep things cosy.
There are books, games, a smart TV (hooked up to Prime TV and Netflix of course) and a DVD player.
King sized bed, ensuite shower room, tonnes of storage space, hotel quality sheets, decorated with our family antiques with a few modern touches.
The second bedroom has a double bed, with gorgeous sheets and OKA furniture. It is next to the family bathroom (bath and shower) and has loads of storage space.
There's an AGA and a conventional oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, washing machine and dryer.
Don't panic if you've never used an AGA before, we also have a conventional oven and we can show you how to use the AGA if you're interested.
There is also a utility room with downstairs toilet, washing machine and dryer.
We have stocked the kitchen with everything we could think of that we would cook with, but ask us if you need something else.
Soak in the tub and relax in the large family bathroom.
There's also a large shower.
Spot the hidden gems in the gorgeous, peaceful walled garden.
There's a BBQ and outdoor seating available for summer visits.
Relax in the sun on one of the comfy steamer chairs.
Surround yourself with purple hues, buzzing bees and lavender scents as you relax in the garden.
